Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional nursing services for residents of the Gallatin Rest Home.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants for this position must be certified to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Montana; must have thorough knowledge of the theories, techniques and practices of professional nursing; medical terminology and the effects of medication and treatment; supervisory principles and practices; and the ability to apply knowledge; supervise the work of others; maintain accurate medical charts and records; handle sensitive and confidential information; communicate effectively both in writing and verbally; provide professional nursing care to aged and handicapped individuals; react well in emergency situations; direct, instruct and oversee the work of subordinate personnel; and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
EDUCATION: Completion of an approved course in professional nursing, license to practice professional nursing in the state of Montana.
EXPERIENCE: Two years work experience in a similar health care setting affording the opportunity to demonstrate supervisory capabilities, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
As a condition of hire, pre-employment drug testing may be done.
