This position is located in the Gallatin Rest Home and is responsible for performing a variety of basic resident care services including assisting residents with grooming and hygiene, escorting residents, observing and recording eating habits, assisting residents with socialization and communication skills, and providing various other direct care services as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Nursing Services and does not supervise other employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This work requires knowledge of Rest Home guidelines and procedures, basic nursing skills, communication skills, and skill in the operation of specialized nursing home equipment (e.g., mechanical patient lifts, etc.). Applications for positions must be at least 18 years of age.
Educations: The required knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and (1) year of related experience. The position also requires state certification as a Nurse’s Aide. Must be certified in Montana.
PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS: Previous experience in a similar capacity.
As a condition of hire, pre-employment drug testing may be done.
