Week of May 12, 2008
The Commissioners are planning to attend a celebration in West Yellowstone on Tuesday, May 13th at 3:00PM in honor of receipt of almost $4 million dollars from the National Park Service for the West Yellowstone/Hebgen Basin Solid Waste Composting Facility. The receipt of this money is a huge accomplishment and will take a significant burden off the facility and the County. A huge THANK YOU goes out to Grants and Projects Administrator Larry Watson for his diligent efforts in securing this grant.
The Elected Official Salary Compensation Committee is holding its first meeting for FY 2009 on Wednesday, May 14th @ 10:00AM in the Courthouse Community Room. Elected Officials and Citizen Members will meet to discuss the cost of living adjustment for Montana and other salary trends locally and around the state in order to make an educated recommendation regarding a salary increase for Gallatin County elected officials in the next fiscal year.
The Commissioners will also be attending a joint city-county breakfast meeting with the City of Bozeman on Friday morning at 7:00AM in the Community Room to discuss various matters of mutual interest.
Gallatin County is celebrating another Treatment Court graduation on Friday the 16th @ 9AM, Law and Justice Center, Judge Salvagni's Courtroom. This is a wonderful program that has a lot to offer participants that are working to reintegrate into our community as sober, law abiding, tax paying citizens.
