Guide for using compost
Mulch – spread no more than 2 inches on the top of the soil.
Gardens and flower beds – mix compost at a rate of 30% compost to 70% soil.
Planting holes for trees and shrubs - mix compost at a rate of 30% compost to 70% soil.
Top dressing for lawns – spread a thin layer, no more than ½ inch, on top of established lawn or sod.
